The Calpump pond vent is a multi use product for any pond owner. The Pond Vent with the 10 watt egglite installed, will allow any gases to be expelled from the pond once it has frozen over. When it comes time for spring and fall the Pond Vent can be easily transformed to a floating feeding ring. It is important that throughout the seasons the transformer and connections remain dry. Additional lights may be added to the unit. |

Fiber Optic lighting has numerous advantages over traditional electric lighting systems. 1. Multiple "end points" of light, or light fixtures may be illuminated by just one light bulb. 2. No heat or electricity travels through the fibers, making fiber safe for many environments. 3. The light source may be positioned in a remote location away from the light output, allowing easy access to the source for lamp changes. 4. A color wheel can be placed between the light source and the fiber to create colored light. How it Works A specialized light source located in a box called an Illuminator sits outside the pond. Up to sixteen separate fiber optic light cables are bundled together at one end into a common fitting and placed in front of the light source. Light shines into the end of the fiber optic cables, travels through the cables, and out the other end, illuminating whatever the designer wishes to light up. Fixtures attached to the end of the cables can be placed underwater, next to the water, in between rocks, or almost anywhere in or out of the pond. |
