Cycle
During the filtering cycle, the Bee cell media creates a stable filter
bed; surrounding the filter internals at the bottom of the tank. The Bee
Cell media, after a short operating time accumulates a sticky bio flocculent
material that holds the solid waste until it is backwashed.
Backwash Cycle
The reverse flow backwash cycle expands the Bee Cell media bed up into
the filter tank, allowing circulating backwash water to knock off solid
waste from both the outside and the inside of the Bee Cell media, then
sending it out of the filter to waste. Highly effective cleaning cycle.

PSP (Plastic Sinking Pellets) Filters advance mechanical filtration to a new level. PSP Filters combine dependable sand filter technology with a plastic sinking pellet media that together achieve optimal filter bed fluidization and solids capture. Smaller PSP Filters feature a heavy-duty plastic shell, while commercial grade models offer a "spun-wound" fiberglass construction. PSPs are available in several sizes capable of filtering applications up to 60,000 gallons. Fiberglass “Heavy-Duty” Filter Construction PSP Filter tanks feature strong, long lasting spun wound fiberglass construction featuring a internal tank bladder that acts as a cushion, absorbing shock while the tank expands and contracts during filtering and backwashing.
