When To Apply

WipeOut should be applied in early spring, at the first sign of weed growth. Ideal for fresh water farm ponds and lakes with minimal water outflow that battle persistent pond weeds like duckweed year after year. WipeOut can take 45-60 days to control established weed growth and up to 90 days for full protection of your pond, but has no temperature, livestock or swimming restrictions.

How It Works

Pond Logic WipeOut reduces pond weeds chlorophyll, which reducing the weeds from getting adequate nutrition, causing them to die at the root.

What To Expect

WipeOut is a systemic herbicide that controls targeted pond weeds slowly and does not result in rapid oxygen depletion or a fish kill. It takes 45 to 60 days for the chemical to work in the water before you see bleaching (turning white) of the weeds. You should expect full results within 90 days. How To Apply

Pond Logic WipeOut has no temperatures restrictions and should be applied to ponds and lakes with minimal outflow. Pond Logic WipeOut can be applied starting in early spring, at the first sign of weed growth, through mid-summer. Ponds treated with WipeOut will not harm any wildlife in or around the water and can be used immediately for swimming or fishing.

Once you have determined the size of your pond and use the dosage rates above or on the product label. Open the container and shake the liquid bottle(s) prior to use as the contents may have settled. Measure and pour the liquid WipeOut into the included container and mix with water. Pour the mixture from the container in several spots around the pond’s edge under or away from pond weeds.

Pro Tips

Do you have an outflow? Determine if you have an outflow to your pond with pond dye. Watch the water color to see if it can last for a few weeks before using WipeOut. Best control is obtained when discharge can be stopped for 45 days or longer. Water levels should be at or near normal during treatment. Excessive outflow dilutes fluridone and reduces the chance of control.

Reduce Sunlight Exposure: We recommend using pond dye at time of treatment to monitor the amount of dilution your pond receives and to reduce the sunlight exposure that can reduce treatment effectiveness.

Avoid: Using a sprayer when applying treatment to the pond. Chemical must be applied in the water. If chemical is applied on top of surface plants, the sunlight exposure will reduce effectiveness.
